Collaborative Systems and Performance

Welcome to the Collaborative Systems and Performance Research Group which is part of the School of Computing at the University of Leeds.

The research group covers studies in areas such as:
  • distributed technologies such as Cloud and Grid computing, with a focus on performance and quality of service. To us quality of service includes areas such as trust, risk, service level agreements, cost and time;
  • innovative applications for supporting sustainable scientific e-communities;
  • pioneering use of semantic technologies and social computing to facilitate collaboration in areas such as science, engineering, law and e-learning;
  • user requirements and knowledge capture techniques which can bridge the gap between end users who will exploit the collaborative systems and technologists who will develop the solutions.

Our projects are often conducted by multidisciplinary teams of researchers. These collaborations bring together domain specialists from both industry and academia, with Information and Computer Scientists from the School taking a prominent role. See the links to the left for our current projects and the partners involved.
