The vision group has been in existence for over 15 years, focusing on general methods for object recognition, segmentation and video analysis; and on applications of computer vision to medical imaging, biological research, surveillance, sport and entertainment. We have grown to be one of the largest centres for computer vision research in the UK, with five permanent members of academic staff working with postdoctoral and PhD researchers.
