Leeds Source-IT Services
Leeds Source-IT (LSIT) will provide bespoke software engineering solutions to companies, research groups and other external organisations (clients) in software development and maintenance, through short term contracts for defined tasks. Typically contracts are expected to be carried out by one or more students working part time over periods of between 2 weeks and 3 months.
Skills offered include Actionscript, C#, Java, Python, PHP, Perl and frameworks Virtual Studio (.NET), Eclipse. grating code from one language to another, and dynamic websites with database back ends.
Work on projects will be undertaken by accredited LSIT consultants, who will generally be second year undergraduates, but may also be first or third years, postgraduates or occasionally staff. However, all projects will be overseen by the LSIT Managers, who will manage the client relationships and be responsible for contractual agreements.
