Project Information Management System (PIMS) - Bespoke Project Management Tool

When the Keyworth Institute's Enterprise Team wanted a bespoke project management system tailored to their specific needs they turned to Leeds Source-IT for help.

The Enterprise Team needed a means of keeping track of the large number of projects that they deal with and which was tailored to their specific needs.

Leeds Source-IT designed and developed a web-based Project Information Management System called “PIMS”. PIMS not only lets the Enterprise Team record information about each project, but also stores documents and automatically alerts client when something happens on their project. Source-IT transferred all of the information from the Enterprise Team’s existing database and integrated the system into their website.

Lee Mason said:

“The process of taking the PIMS concept from a rough list of ideas to a finished product has been remarkably simple. The Source-IT team talked through our ideas at the start of the project and made sure they knew precisely what we wanted from the system. Since then, I have been asked occasional questions about how precisely we want something to work, but apart from that I've been able to sit back and watch the project develop using their online project status tool”.
