Handwritten word-spotting

Word-spotting is the pattern analysis problem consisting in detecting keywords in document images. From 2007 I have been working in different aspects of the word-spotting problem, including feature extraction, modelling and matching. See more publications.

Pen-based interfaces for document edition

My Master's thesis aimed at developing a pen-based interface for manually editing documents, i.e. where a user can draw specific symbols and words on top of and original text and a pattern analysis sytem processes those to produce a new version of the document.
