   Thesis Title

SNOMED CT based semantic tagging for medical narratives

   Education

I got my MCIT-Masters in Computer Science & IT in 2008 from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan. I finished my BS in Computer Science from Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan.

   Professional Experience

Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science & IT, NEDUET, Pakistan(2009 till Date)

Worked as Lecturer in Department of Computer Science & IT, NEDUET, Pakistan (2006-2009)

  Research interests

My research interest focus on extracting semantic information from Medical narratives without the help of any domain expert.

Extraction of domain specific information was obtained using SNOMED CT, a comprehensive clinical terminology.

First prototype was simply mining the medical concepts from SNOMED CT using dictionary method, from clinical documents.

I have Participated in NLP Challenge for the concept extraction task, organized by University of Albany.-->Fourth i2b2/VA Shared-Task and Workshop Challenges in Natural Language Processing for Clinical Data
