Degrees accredited by the British Computer SocietyThe School of Computing values its relationship with the British Computer Society (BCS). BCS is the leading UK professional body for computing and information systems, setting quality standards, developing skills and informing and influencing the national agenda for IT. For more details see www.bcs.org . The School is proud to announce that it has recently had its undergraduate degree programmes re-accredited by the BCS. The inspection, which lasted a day, included discussions with degree programme managers, checking quality management, programme content and relevance to industry and interviews with senior managers and current students. All the current undergraduate degrees were re-awarded their accreditation. The new Informatics degree programmes are also on target for acreditation in 2007 when the first students graduate.
