Ranking Information

Loosly based on the IRB ranking system (see IRB ranking explanation), the system ensures that it is representative of the players performance despite playing differing numbers of games, and the differing strength of opposition that players have to face. The system takes into account the result and the players strength.

Step 1: Ratings
Get pre-match rating for player one (p1) and player two (p2)
Step 2: Ratings Difference
Rating difference (d) where d=p2-p1
Step 3: Rating Changes Calculation
Rating change (c) based on result (r) where r=1 for a win, r=0 for a draw, and r=-1 for a loss using the formula c=0.1*d+r
Step 4: Weighting Factors
This is currently not applied but can be taken into consideration in the future if deemed necessary
