  • Miss Hamilton maintains the Famous Mathematician Internet Project as a teaching resource.
• Philosophy:
  
  • The University of Washington maintains a list of Famous Philosophers.
  • Mike Sacks mainatins a scurrilous list of Famous Philospers and how they were first discovered.
• Physics:
  
  • Edward Redish collects appearances of physicists for the Physicists on the Money site.
    
  • Joachim Reinhardt collects appearances of physicists for the Physicists on stamps site.
    
  • The December 1999 issue of Physics world has an article called "Physics: past, present, future" by Matin Durrani that asks for the most influential physicists. It has some other good stuff too.
• Sociology:
  The Dead Sociologists' Society. Composer Larry Ridener writes; I was trying to get my Introductory students interested in the Theory section of a summer school class. As I was reading in another text I came across a table which listed something like "The Major Contributors to Sociology." That was when the idea struck me! I copied the table, changed the title to "Dead Sociologists' Society".
