How to Apply

The Research Degrees application pack which is sent on request is also available on-line here and contains the following:

A Covering Letter (RTF - Rich Text Format, or PDF - Portable Document Format); 
University's Application for Research Degree Study form (RTF)
including notes for guidance; 
Two Letters for your Referees (RTF or PDF); and 

For an application to be considered we need:

• a completed application form
• a curriculum vitae (resumé)
• a description of one or more research areas in which you would like to study
• transcripts of your academic results
• two signed and sealed letters of references

Please read the "Covering Letter" that is included in the application pack for more details of what is required. Note that, until we have all the necessary documents, an application will not be processed.

There is no closing date for applications. However, note that applications for the financial awards described above have fixed deadlines and to be considered for any of these, the applicant must already have been accepted for research degree study here. As a result, delays caused by missing documents needed for your application for study may make you ineligible for consideration for a financial award.
