Position

Senior Teaching Fellow

Research activities

Owen Johnson has over 20 years experience as an practitioner and has been responsible for the development, implementation and strategic management of information systems within major blue-chip organisations such as BT, Amoco and Forte. Most recently he was IT Manager for Gardner Merchant Leisure, a +£100K turnover division of the world's largest catering company, Gardner Merchant Sodexho. He is currently Vice Chair of Bradford Community Housing Trust.

Owen is a member of the Technology and Innovation Group TIGr - an interdisciplinary research group based within Leeds University Business School but including members from the School of Computing and the Yorkshire Centre for Health Informatics. His current research focuses on the application of agile methods to IS strategy, benefits management and systems development. Teaching areas: e-commerce, IS strategy, agile information systems engineering techniques (principally - Process modelling, UML, UP, Use Cases, RAD).
