Far too long geographers have muddled along without understanding the nature
and structure of their professional discipline. The recent work on
spatial ontologies is providing a much needed structure that will evnetually
lead to a more complete understanding on spatial concepts, spatial entities,
spatial tasks, spatial processes and spatial theories.
