• Nathan Kirk is working on computational simulation of electromechanical activity in the heart -- this is joint with Chris Goodyer.
  
• Bob Marlow is working on moving mesh finite element techniques for problems with moving boundaries -- this is joint with Peter Jimack.
  

• Netsanet Mebrate (2007): High Order Fluctuation Splitting Schemes for Hyperbolic Conservation Laws developed high order, positive fluctuation schemes for unsteady flows, jointly supervised with Peter Jimack.
  
  
• Dominic Pajak (2005): Specification of Microprocessor Instruction Set Architectures: ARM6 Case Study -- this is not my research area, I simply took over during the latter stages when the previous supervisor left the School.
  
• Daniel Schostak (2003): Methodology for the Formal Specification of RTL RISC Processor Designs (with particular reference to the ARM6) -- this is not my research area, I simply took over during the latter stages when the previous supervisor left the School.
  
  
• Steven Leary (1999): Least Squares Methods with Adjustable Nodes for Steady Hyperbolic PDEs (available from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Reading) -- jointly supervised with Mike Baines in everything but name.
