Part 3 : Interpreting Scans

Modern scanners produce a great deal of data. Computers can help us to sort out all this information and find what we need. These include programs to automatically find an appropriate number of grey levels for an image, or to automatically locate particular structures (bones, arteries, or organs, for example) by matching them with a databank of stored information.
