Part 4 : Computer Models of the Body

Part 4 of the video features two computerized models of the head. This section of the website contains those actual models for you to try using. Both models are sophisticated pieces of software, and require a modern browser and a 1024x768 monitor to work properly. You will need a VRML plugin - if nothing happens, try the free download CosmoPlayer.

Craniotomy
This model allows you to practise cutting a hole in the skull to remove a brain tumour.
Percutaneous Rhizotomy
Simulate performing the operation for treating trigeminal neuralgia, which involves inserting a needle through the face.
