Having submitted my PhD thesis at the end of September, I am currently awaiting my viva. My thesis title is "Improving the Fidelity of Haptics in Virtual Medical Environments"
The research looks at surgery rehearsal within a virtual environment with haptic (force) feedback, identifying and addressing two issues within the field. It covers a broad range of areas such as computational modelling, graphics, human computer interaction, mechanical physics, neural networks, and psychology. For further information, please see my Research. My supervisor is Andy Bulpitt
My undergraduate degree was BSc. Cognitive Science which combined the disciplines of computing, psychology and philosophy.
