Leeds University Staff Badminton Club

Welcome!

The aim of our club is to provide opportunities for our members

to play badminton within a social club environment;

to improve their standard of playing; and

to enter competitive games organised by the Leeds & District Badminton League (LDBL).

The club is open to

all categories of staff in the University of Leeds;

postgraduates;

alumni;

team members of 'University Staff' in the LDBL; and

friends and families of registered club members.

The club provides feather shuttles and in 2009-10, we have three Gents teams (in Divisions 1, 2 & 4), a Ladies team in Division 1, and 2 Mixed teams (in Division 1 and Division 2) playing in the Leeds & District Badminton League.

From Jan 2009, our home ground has been moved to Leeds University Gryphon Sports Centre, at the junction between Woodsley Road and Belle Vue Road. This postcode will take you to the Woodsley Road: LS2 9LZ . Click here for a campus map or here for a Multimap link.

Route: From the city, follow the sign post to Leeds University and go up the Woodhouse Lane. Past the Parkinson Building and turn left just before Hyde Park / Library Pub into Clarendon Road. Past two sets of traffic lights then take the right turn into Woodsley Road, Sports Centre entrance is on the right just before Belle Vue Road.

Match nights: Tuesday 8.00pm - 10.00pm 3 courts start (timed) and Friday 8.00pm - 10.00pm 3 courts start (timed)
