Quickly after I acquired my first home PC, I got pretty fed up with the limitations of DOS and MSWindows. While single user / single process was just about acceptable under CP/M on Z80 systems this modern hardware should support something better. Then I found out about Linux and I was hooked! Slackware installed in 1995, eventually moving to Debian. A full blown UNIX, and full access to source and the whole community thing - I was/am in seventh heaven :-)
