Several new modules have been added to the repository.

New accelerated modules for Isosurfacing and Slicing large Pyramid data sets.

Now that the new IRIS Explorer has been released, we have updated our Web Render for version 4.0.

IRIS Explorer 4.0 is now the current version on most platforms and so we will be working to update many of the modules in the repository. As a start the following list have been updated for version 4.0 on SGI and are available as a pre-compiled set of modules in a single tar file. The tar file also contains the relevant credit files, please ensure these get installed appropriately.

The updated source and resource files will soon be available through the repository in the usual way.

A number of new modules have been added to the repository, some from the University of Illinois and Minnesota Supercomputer Institute, some from NAG ltd and some from the IECOE.

Updated documentation is now available for the UNIX version of COVISA. This includes a getting started guide in the "on-the-fly" collaboration section as well as descriptions of new modules in the modules section.

IRIS Explorer 4.0 is now available for Windows NT from N.A.G. Ltd, versions for other platforms will follow shortly. This release incorporates the COVISA collaborative work developed here at the School of Computer Studies, University of Leeds. This collaborative extension will be available on all platforms at version 4.0 as they are released. It will be compatible across platforms so allowing the construction of multiplatform collaborative visualization applications.

21 September 1998

Version 1.5 of the COVISA collaborative toolkit is now available for download for Silicon Graphics. This version is compatible with the version shipping on the IRIS Explorer 4.0 CD for Windows NT.

Documentation for the Windows NT version of the collaborative COVISA toolkit is now on line.

Our extended version of Render is now available for Solaris5.5, Explorer 3.5.
