June 2011: experimental study with the extended version of ROO The study examined the usefulness of semantic feedback and its impact on ontology authoring. The study was conducted with two groups of users - knowledge engineers and domain experts without knowledge engineering skills.

May 2011: new version of ROO ready for tests ROO now embeds the Entendre framework which offeres semantic feedback. It is now ready for tests with users.

March 2011 - JWS publication Article describing the overall project is accepted for publication at the Journal of Web Semantics - ROO was presented at the CNL workshop (link to the workshop and put the date

October 2010 - ROO is being used in two EU projects ROO is used as the main tool for ontology authoring involving domain experts within two EU projects: Dicode and ImREAL . The knowledge engineering tasks on both projects are led by Dr. Dhaval Thakker .

October 2009: Work on ontology purposes presented at Terra Cognita 2009 Ronald Denaux presented a paper on modelling the intended purpose of ontologies in geography at Terra Cognita 2009 Workshop asscoaitated with ISWC09. See links to the paper and the presentation.

June 2009 - ROO was presented at CNL2009 Ronald Denaux presented a paper describing ROO at the Workshop on Controlled Natural Language (CNL 2009) . This paper gives detail about the implementation of ROO, and is available via Springer .

13 May 2009: Release of ROO 1.0.1 Dowload available from sourceforge. This is a minor update solving a memory leak problem and improving the recognition of complex concepts (you now can include hyphens and ampersands in concept names)

4 March 2009: Release of ROO 1.0. Dowload available from sourceforge.

1 March 2009: Started a public ROO wiki page. The wiki is currently populated with the ROO documentation.

17 November 2008: Release of ROO 0.4. Available from sourceforge
