Computational Fluid Dynamics, with particular emphasis on:

  • Adaptive mesh refinement
  • Mesh movement algorithms
  • Genuinely multidimensional upwind schemes
  • Multidimensional flux/slope limited schemes
  • Numerical methods for hydraulic/coastal engineering
  • Numerical weather prediction
  • Source term discretisations
