The BCSWomen Lovelace Colloquium will be held in Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds, in the Foyer and the Rhodes Lecture theatre (which is just off the foyer). Electrical Engineering is on Woodhouse Lane, the main road that goes past the University entrance. It's opposite the Eldon pub. The social (from about 5.15pm) will be in the Students Union Terrace Bar, nearby.
We have produced a map here: map pdf file which covers Leeds City Centre and has the main locations (venue, train station, bus station, and cheap hotels) marked, along with the free bus stops.
Walking from the station to the Uni should take less than 15 minutes. But if you prefer to catch a bus there are several options. Leeds has a free city bus which goes clockwise around the city centre taking in the train station, bus station and coming fairly close to the universities. You can catch an ordinary bus (not free) from Infirmary St near the station or from the bus station - ask for the University, and get off at the stop after the main uni entrance (look out for the Eldon pub on your right). This will drop you directly outside the venue.
If you're coming by car, parking can be a pain so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible and we will book you a car parking space on campus. Driving directions to Leeds University are available on the main university website here: http://www.leeds.ac.uk/visitors/getting_here.htm.
