The 'West African' copy of the Qur'ān
- The data consist of 169 sets of scan. The index of scans to pages of the book is given at the bottom of this page.
- Each "scan" presents as three images: a scan, a backlit scan, and a scan of the reverse.
- Scans are against a uniform background. The paper is highly textured and the ink is a mixture of black and red.
- Each image presents as approximately 18M (TIF).
The text comprises 163 bifolios, 6 folios.
- Folios: 8: p15, 44: p86, 54: p105, 59: p114, 110: p215, 153: p300 - all recto and verso.
- Bifolios: 1: p1 recto, p2 verso; 2: p3 recto, p4 verso; etc.
