Leeds is the fastest growing city in the UK, and is recognised as the capital of Britain's largest county, Yorkshire.

In 2003, readers of Condé Nast Traveller magazine voted Leeds the Number 1 city in the UK, above London.

The city was also named the top city to visit in the 2004 Good Britain Guide, and independent research by OMIS stated Leeds is the best city for businesses.

Famous for its excellent shopping facilities, international sport squads and vibrant nightlife, Leeds has fast become the most popular student destination in the UK, with 124,000 students in full-time, part-time and continuing education.
